Adam Drinks Beer

It was not until I spent a year in Belgium that I truly discovered the wonder and possibility of beer. The variety and complexity was nearly overwhelming, and I found myself needing to learn more. Thus I drink beer, many beers, different beers, so that others may also know the depth of creativity and tastiness of this most versatile beverage.
I am by no means an expert on beer, but I do love to try every new kind I can get my hands on. This blog is my attempt to record the beers I have tasted, support the breweries, and redistribute all of the knowledge that I have and will gain.

I gotta say, I’m loving dark. Lagers, IPA’s, you name it. Pretty solid offering from @CapBrew.
So much attention goes to East and West coast brewers, but man does the Midwest kick ass. I’m still amazed at how many breweries I haven’t tried that are in my backyard (and are really good!)

Pretty good offering from Staropramen in Prague, Czech Republic. A traditional easy to drink lager. Taunts my memory, making me wish I could visit that beautiful city again.

It seems like the overwhelming amount of beer that I see being tasted out there is of the ale variety. I must admit that I rarely kick back with a lager. However, at a recent Pierogi-fest with some of my cousins I had the opportunity to try a Stawski. Now I wouldn’t say this is the best lager I’ve ever tasted, but it is smooth and very drinkable. Needless to say that if I had a choice between that and something mainstream.. my money would be on Stawski.

Decent lager. Very mild finish, which may be perfect for some. Was pleased but not blown away.

Almost reminds me of a cookie with strawberry flavoring. Not convinced by the fruit/lager combo, but it was worth a try.
